To be honest I don't know much about the class topics, however I could imagine that each topic has a fine line of caring and professional. we as teachers want the best for the children in our classes but we have to remember these are someone's actual child and their opinions may not match ours when it comes to what is best for the child. the community can be even more difficult sense it is speaking to a larger group and the majority's voice always rules out! working with professionals wouldn't be as difficult just long hours of figuring out how to assist the child or children is the best possible manner.

As this course moves forward I would really like to learn about how to build a relationship with the families that allows for open communication between what is best for the child and knowing my place as a teacher.

Also I LOVE greys anatomy and HAD to share this hippa violation where the ob of a doctor (april) is pregnant and that doctor chooses not to share the information with her ex husband but the ob feels like she should so the ob violates hippa and goes tell the ex husband (father of the baby)!
